Mark Mindel has been building and tinkering since he was a child, but began his official career as a residential electrician in 1980. Since that time he has been a bicycle mechanic, master carpenter/foreman for a cabinet and furniture manufacturer, a commercial/residential electrician, and a general construction laborer, doing framing and concrete work.
In 1989 he became Vice-President of RNTX Corp in Baltimore, MD – a private passenger rail car rebuilder and restorer, and in 1991, worked with DF Barnhart and Associates – a railroad car appraiser and restoration consultant. In 1992 he was employed by Studio Displays of Pineville, NC, as a metal shop foreman and all around fabricator working in carpentry, electrical, animation, interactive exhibits, rigging and structural design.
Since 2004 he has been the owner of Tandum Inc., and designs and builds custom furniture, metal work, sculptures, museum exhibits, aquarium stands, and more.
Mark’s extensive background and experience in design and fabrication means that if you can dream it, he can build it!
